Previously, when referring to linguistic pragmatics, people only thought and thought a lot about syntax with two objects: sentence meaning and utterace meaning.. However, in this article, we want to find out whether morphological elements also have semantic and pragmatic values. The simple reason is that the "word” in the utterance is different from the word in the dictionary. because : a word only fully reveals its semantic and pragmatic capacity in context activities.
This article is an analysis of the “bound morpheme”- a “meaningless morpheme” standing after a free lexical morpheme in the structure of Vietnamese compound words and its semantic functions in usages.
