Abstract

By the statistical method and linguistic analysis for the poetry collection Where the river flows to the sea, the article focuses on clarifying the symbolic trend in Nguyen Huu Quyen’s poetic language. His poetry creates “literal benefits” by painting a halo of uncertainty around a familiar word, pictogram, symbol, or rhetorical device. The symbolic colors in Nguyen Huu Quyen’s poetic language are blended with Eastern wisdom and metaphysics.
