Improving the English learning motivation for students of Thuongmai University by the method of problem-based learning

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of using the method of problem-based learning in improving English learning motivation for students of Thuong Mai University. This is an action research applied to the participation of 42 second year students from the Institute of International Cooperation, Thuongmai University. The results showed that students’ English learning motivation was significantly improved with positive reviews after the treatment. From these results, the author recommend that problem-based learning method helps to enhance English learning motivation as well as improve soft skills for students.
