Surveying, analyzing some confusing Chi- nese characters in the dictionary Đại Nam Quốc ngữ

Abstract

The article surveys, contrasts with the ancient Chinese dictionaries, poetry and literature to find out exactly the standard forms of confusing Chinese characters appearing in the subjects of the Sino­Vietnamese bilingual dictionary Đại Nam Quốc ngữ, thereby to clarify the meanings of these characters, and on the basis of pronunciation of standard forms of characters, the article gives out the closest Sino­Vietnamese sounds, and corrects the characters with incorrect meanings in Đại Nam Quốc ngữ.
