The inspiration of tragedy through war memories in the compositions by Do Tien Thuy

Abstract

Do Tien Thuy is one of the young writers of contemporary Vienamese literature. His compositions revolve around the topic of farmers and soldiers returning from wartime, bringing with them painful memories of the war. Focusing on exploring the sadnesses, pains, losses and hidden corners of people through reminiscing about the war, Do Tien Thuy used the inspiration of tragedy as the main inspiration for his three works including the volume of short stories Vet thuong thanh thi (Urban wounds), and the two novels Mau rung ruong (Colors of forest and field) and Con chim Joong bay tu A den Z (The bird Joong flies from A to Z).
