Researching on using YouTube’s videos in improving English skills: A survey on stu- dents’ attitudes

Abstract

Videos are currently common in online English classes, and they are said to be useful for teaching grammar, specialist topics, and English language skills. According to the researcher’s own observations of the class and her early interviews with 50 students enrolled in Thuongmai University’s business English course, the students are more engaged and motivated throughout class. The classes, however, require more preparation in terms of content and creative approach rather than simply incorporating some real videos into English learning and teaching in order for the students to improve their English abilities, learning objectives, and professional business knowledge.
