Art space in the short story Survivor of the Laughing Forest by Vo Thi Hao

Abstract

Survivor of the Laughing Forest composed by Vo Thi Hao is one of typical short stories of literature after 1975. The work has surprised readers since its appearance by creating a realistic and painful art space to depict the brutality of the past war. The article surveys and explains the artistic metaphors in the spatial symbols, thereby identifying new human spirit of the work in post-war literature.
