The use of tongue twisters to enhance English pronunciation for students of Thuongmai University

Abstract

The study aims to investigate the impact of using tongue twisters to enhance students’ English pronunciation at Thuongmai University. This study was conducted with the action research design through 2 cycles. Research subjects included 70 first-year students of the Institute of International Cooperation, Thuongmai University in the English 1 class. The author used research instruments, including observation checklist and pronunciation test, for collecting the data. The results shows that the tongue twisters improve students’ English pronunciation and their active engagement.
