Abstract

The compilation of bilingual visual dictionaries has been popularly implemented abroad, especially in the countries with developed science and education such as the UK, the US, Japan, etc. The combination of image and text channels in these dictionaries help users have an intuitive look, easily look up and receive. The article introduces The Oxford Picture Dictionary (English/Vietnamese), thereby stating the value of learning foreign languages through bilingual visual dictionaries for students.
