The distinctive features of the Hmong folk poetry from the perspective of verse structure

Abstract

Hmong folk poetry has its own unique features in terms of art, especially from the perspective of verse structure. The excessive use of verses with a number of words exceeding the rules of normal genres makes Hmong folk poetry different in form from poetry of other ethnic groups. On the other hand, the flexibility in rhythm of the stanzas with many structural variations creates unique and distinctive features of Hmong folk poetry, contributing to expressing the identity value of this ethnic minority
