The role of intellectuals in protecting the ideological foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam and fighting against false and hostile views

Abstract

The documents of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam affirmed that one of the contents that must be particularly valued and promoted in the coming years includes: strengthening the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation, resolutely and regularly fighting against false and hostile views, political opportunities; struggling, preventing, and repelling the deterioration of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and manifestations of internal “self-evolution” and “self-transformation”. In order to implement methodically, scientifically and effectively, create consensus among the whole Party, people and army in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, intellectuals play a very important role, they need to be aware of their roles, positions and responsibilities.
