Nominal characteristics of strategic manage- ment terms in English

Abstract

Strategic management terms play a very important role and account for a large proportion in the vocabulary of strategic management field. Mastering the terminology, especially the nominal characteristics of strategic management terms, helps individuals, managers and terminology researchers to understand and apply these terms. This study is an attempt to investigate the nominal characteristics of 1,936 English strategic management terms collected from a number of strategic management terminology dictionaries and books in English language. The study focuses on semantic, content-representative and denotative nominal characteristics of terms.
