Generalizing the research situation of apply- ing e-portfolio for English teaching in the worldwide and Vietnam

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 with new technologies has been taking place very strongly in all areas of life, especially in education. Applying technology in learning and teaching is inevitable in the current era. The article was conducted through secondary research method to generalize the trend of applying e-portfolio as a pedagical tool in English language teaching in both the worldwide and Vietnam context. The findings summarize analytically the research situation on this technique, then confirm the effectiveness of e-portfolio in English language teaching and partly clarifying the research gap for further studies.
