Festivals and the structure of festival entries in the Tourism Encyclopedia of Vietnam

Abstract

The Strategy for the Development of Cultural Industries in Vietnam to 2020, with a Vision to 2030, has identified specific goals for the development of cultural tourism industries. Vietnam is a country with a diverse culture with about 8,000 festivals, taking place all year round with the characteristics of regional culture in the national cultural identity. Providing basic knowledge of the country and people; serving for official, standard and essential search in the process of industrialization, modernization and international integration, the Tourism Encyclopedia of Vietnam will contribute positively to tourism and economic development. Understanding and determining the structure, towards compiling the entries about festivals in the Tourism Encyclopedia of Vietnam are the contents mentioned in the article.
