Abstract

“The woman with two husbands” in the Tale of Đầu Rau is an artistic motif that opens the plot and also the thread that connects other artistic motifs, completing the plot of explaining the custom of worshipping Táo Quân in Vietnam. This artistic motif also contains the unique messages about the marriage culture of the Vietnamese people and the moral sense of folk when creating this story, which promotes the later generations to learn and discover.
