Some basic issues in the practice of compiling the Vietnamese Dictionary of Journalism Terms

Abstract

During the process of organizing to compile the Vietnamese Dictionary of Journalism Terms, the compilers have tried to follow the correct compilation process of a dictionary, starting from preparing to collecting documents, building a list of entries, compiling entries, editing and finalizing the manuscript. This is a general process, but the practice of compilation shows that there are some problems that need special attention, especially those related to the specificity of the type of explanatory term dictionary. The article mentions some problems that need attention through the practice of compiling the dictionary in order to draw experiences for the compilers as well as those who are interested in this type of dictionary.
