Multilingual terminology dictionaries in Vietnam

Abstract

Terminology dictionaries along with language dictionaries and encyclopedias are reference works. In Vietnam, the first work that is considered a multilingual terminology dictionary appeared in 1942. Since then, the process of developing them in Vietnam has gone through many different stages. In order to see the prospects of compiling the multilingual terminology dictionaries in Vietnam, the article focuses on studying the current situation of compiling them in Vietnam since the appearance of the first multilingual terminology dictionary until the end of 2020.
