Abstract

The article presents a group of place names that reflect the characteristics, properties associated with the objects identified in the place names in Hà Tĩnh. This is an important group of meanings that are considered a basis to identify with the largest number of place names out of the total number of place names surveyed. This group of meanings shows different aspects of the identified objects, especially the linguistic and cultural aspects associated with the land of Hà Tĩnh.
