Applying generative artificial intelligence in foreign language teaching

Abstract

Generative Artificial Intelligence is currently a technology that has garnered attention across fields. This article aims to broadly summarize the basics of generative AI. It will also evaluate generative AI’s potentials and challenges towards the teaching of foreign languages, regarding the material development process, and the assessment process. The last part of the article will include some suggestions towards the application of generative AI in Vietnam.
