Abstract

The Encyclopædia Britannica is a general knowledge English-language encyclopedia of different fields of humanity, first published between 1769 and 1771 in Edinburgh, Scotland, as three volumes. The article studies the entries about Vietnamese Literature authors in the Encyclopædia Britannica through the editions in 1969, 1998 and current online version to help researchers visualize more clearly about the appearance of Vietnamese Literature in this famous work, thereby drawing lessons and experience in compiling the biography entries in the encyclopedic works.
