The nominated characteristics of the Non Nuoc stone carving’s professional jargons

Abstract

The article studies the nominated characteristics of the Non Nuoc stone carving’s professional jargons in Hoa Hai ward, Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city. The research results show that: 1) The jargons mainly have a complex nominated structure, in which the majority of jargons is in the structure “basic element + 1-level nominated element”; 2) The jargons mainly have a direct nomination method, they are nominated by the ontological characteristics of the object appeared in the profession. There are not so many jargons which have an indirect nomination method, they are formed through metaphors and meaning transformation
