Dictionary of Literary Documents: Compilation process and structural model

Abstract

The Dictionary of Literary Documents is an early literature dictionary that has a great significance for the study of the history of compiling specialized dictionaries of Vietnamese literature. Therefore, surveying this work from the perspective of lexicography not only clarifies its scientific values but also contributes to the assessment of its historical, cultural, and educational values. The article presents there main issues. The first is thecompilation and publication, which mentions information about the author, publication year, overall structure of the work, and the academic view of the author. The second expresses the macro-structure of the work to clarify the system of types of entries.
