Today, peer assessment has been applied as a method of formative assessment to assist students in adjusting and improving their studies through comments and assessment regarding learners’ knowledge, skills and attitude. Although peer assessment has been used more popularly in Vietnamese universities, students’ perspectives on this method have received little attention. This research aims to study the perspectives of the second-year English-majored students on peer assessment in the course of English Presentation Skills. A questionnaire was used to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. The article presents the perspectives of the students acting as both assessors and those who are assessed by peers, and proposes some measures for effective implementation of peer assessment.
