Projection methods in Nam Cao’s short stories before the August Revolution

Abstract

Projection is the first aspect of Pragmatics. It’s compulsory to pay attention to the projection methods to understand meanings of the utterances in different contexts, i.e. having to consider the correspondence between the things mentioned in the utterances and the things in objective reality. Through surveying 15 Nam Cao’s short stories before the August Revolution, we have realized that he had combined different projection methods which shows his artistic intentions
