From classifications to explanatory models of Vietnamese locutions

Abstract

Locutions is a special linguistic unit in the vocabulary of each language. Vietnamese locutions have been collected and explaned in some explanatory dictionaries. However, the handling them is not consistent, so there are still many shortcomings that need to be overcome in the works to be compiled in the future. On the basis of absorbing the research results of locutions of Vietnamese linguists, the article proposes some models to consistently explain the locutions in order to compile the Vietnamese locution explanatory dictionaries.
