The vowel system in Nùng Vẻn language

Abstract

Nung Ven is a subgroup of Nung ethnic in Vietnam. The language used by the  Nung Ven  people is different from the languages spoken by other Nung’s subgroups. It is one of the   Kadai languages –a branch in Tai-Kadai language family. This paper describes the articulatory  and acoustic properties of vowel system of Nung Ven language in Ca Tieng village, Noi Thon commune, Ha Quang district of Vietnam from the synchronic perspective.
