Characteristics of the category attitude in the language of evaluation framework through the short story Gió lạnh đầu mùa by Thạch Lam, literature 6, the series Connecting knowledge and life

Abstract

From that theoretical background of the language of evaluation, the article examined the text of the story “Gió lạnh đầu mùa” - Thạch Lam in the textbook Literature 6, the series Connecting Knowledge and Life. However, within the framework of the article, we only focus on the category “attitude” and the article is accordingly divided into 2 main contents: 1/ Overview of the category “attitude” in the language of evaluation framework; 2/ Characteristics of the category “attitude” in the text of the story “Gió lạnh đầu mùa” - Thạch Lam viewed from the language of evaluation framework. Learning about the characteristics of the category “attitude” in the text of the story “Gio lanh dau mua” by Thạch Lam in the textbook Literature 6, the series Connecting Knowledge and Life, we aim to identify the language of evaluation features that fulfill the interpersonal function in the text, thereby contributing to clarifying the semantic characteristics of literary discourse in Thạch Lam's short story “Gió lạnh đầu mùa”. The research results also illuminate the language of evaluation framework in in reading comprehension of the story.
