Idioms, proverbs and exercises containing idioms, proverbs in Vietnamese language teaching textbooks for foreigners

Abstract

Idioms, proverbs and exercise systems with idioms and proverbs in Vietnamese language textbooks for foreigners are tools to help  foreigners not only master and fluently use the language they are studying but also understand more about Vietnamese culture. In this article, we conducted a survey on the idioms, proverbs and exercises containing idioms and proverbs in some Vietnamese language teaching textbooks for foreigners and propose some recommendations to contribute to teaching Vietnamese in general and teaching idioms and proverbs to foreigners in particular to be more effective.
