This article presents research results in applying video dubbing in speaking classes to improve English pronunciation for first-year non-English majored students at a university in Hanoi. An action research project was conducted with the participation of 30 first-year students specialized in Logistics and Supply Chain. The study used two main data collection tools, i.e., tests and student learning diaries. Students were required to complete two pronunciation tests before and after the video dubbing method was applied. In addition, after each video dubbing session, the students were asked to write down their feelings about the dubbing experience in their diaries. The results show that video dubbing activities helped students improve their pronunciation skills and created interest for students when learning English pronunciation. The study also offers some suggestions to help teachers teach pronunciation skills more effectively.
